I have been bored with my project lately. I wasn't motivated to proceed with it nor had I any ideas. I realized while sitting in class, that I had the most fun and felt the most inspired while creating things out of t-shirts. So I decided why center my whole project based off of t-shirts. I have already been to the store to purchase more dye and more plain t-shirts

Yesterday while messing with my sewing machine, I called an older friend of mine who attended fashion school. When I told her about my project she was really interested, and offered to be my mentor. She has great fashion sense and can really help me move along. She even gave me a big bag of all types of fabrics. I can't wait to use them and work with her.

I have spent a couple of days thinking about what I'm going to start upcycling next. I know that I want the next thing to be bigger and better than t-shirts. I have narrowed down my ideas to experimenting with either jeans, or old dresses. With the dresses I have a lot of those of my own; that I don't want available to experiment with. While with the jeans I'd have to buy some; although I wouldn't want them to be new for the sake of the project, so I would probably get them from a thrift store. I want do both so which ever one I don't do now, which at this point would probably be the jeans; I will definitely get back to it.

Idea Showcase went great. Everyone who came to see my display said my idea was really good and worthwhile. I even had people say to contact them when I start selling. Also I received two signatures indicating they were interesting in being my mentor. For showcase I used only plain tshirts to create the pieces. Next I plan to use jeans.

Idea Showcase is in 5 days. I feel that I'm prepared for most if not all questions. I am almost finished with my trifold. All I need to do is attach the photos and add the captions. Also my reasonings for choosing upcycling as my project, my future plans, and what I hope to achieve.
